Australian based and owned Next Destination Pty Ltd has led the way with technology, introducing Australia to a wide range of new and innovative products since 1988.

When Magellan Systems Corporation (now Magellan Navigation Inc) created the world’s first hand held GPS in 1989, Next Destination pounced on the opportunity to introduce Australia to this amazing technology.  Along with GPS, Next Destination has grown, matured and expanded embracing a unique opportunity presented by Magellan Navigation Inc to create Magellan GPS mapping that caters direct to the Australian market.

Not only did Next Destination produce the Magellan certified mapping, but seized the opportunity to create a superior product light years ahead of the rest. Going above and beyond, they sourced far more detailed mapping content than the competitors and incorporated unique mapping features such as topographic map contour lines and vertical profiles, creating products unsurpassed by the others.  While Next Destination continues to create land software they have also moved into sat nav and marine charting, showing just how versatile they and their talented team of GIS writers are.
