appointed by GlobalSat of Taiwan to market and distribute their range of Sports and Outdoor
GPS products. The first of these new products is the GH-625M Outdoor Personal Training
Watch for running , biking , paddle and other specialist sports.
The GH-625M has both Heart Rate Monitoring and GPS capability built into a 73g wrist display
which shows the complete performance of the user in real time and in download after the
event. With each of the many screens customizable by the user , a combination of average
heart rate , maximum heart rate , average speed , maximum speed , distance travelled ,
calories burnt and many more statistics can be displayed at any one time.
Ruggedised and waterproof to IPX7 standard and with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery
lasting 11 hours with GPS and HRM on , the GS Sport GH-625M is capable of working in the
most extreme conditions for the performance athlete. With a SiRF Star 111 high performance
GPS chip set, the watch will gain a position lock even in the most difficult environments. For
paddle sports or bike useage , a bracket is included so that the receiver can be mounted on
the handle bars or on the paddle or blades.
The GS Sport comes with full navigation capability with waypoints , routes , backtrack and
displaying both Australian Map Grid and Lat and Long at the same time. With 100 waypoints ,
6000 laps and 60,000 track points plus heart rate data and height data all stored to file and
then downloaded with the inclusive GS-Sport Gym software , a complete performance record
can be studied by the athlete or the coach.
The GS-Sport Gym software interfaces to Google Maps so a display of the route taken by the
user can be seen together with a playback of actual second by second performance.
