Singapore to Sydney by the Seat of My Pants..by Steve Crombie
Follow Steve Crombies adventure via his SPOT as he tries to get from Singaport to Sydney with absolutely no preparation and no cash. His guidelines are.
- Step off the plane in Singapore with one way ticket from Sydney, and fight my way through customs with only a backpack
- Get dressed up and "rock out" for Asian TV Awards night
- Hitchhike/bus/boat/motorbike/bullock my way to Darwin
- From Darwin will pick up my Adventuring Yamaha WR250R and ride home by end of February

BIO
‘Steve Crombie has travelled over 200,000kms as an adventurer in his short lifetime. Before arriving at his dream job of being an adventurer, he spent his life pursuing extraordinary journeys; from joining the circus and cruising around Australia, to floating down the Amazon River in a leaky, homemade canoe; to working as a landscape gardener and financial software designer. At the age of 21, he realized that the only way for him to pursue his passion was to go out there and do it.
Whilst undertaking his MBA, he came to realise that his true passion was exploring the world on a motorcycle. Steve recently returned from a journey travelling from Australia to the Arctic by land and sea covering almost 90,000km. He is now recognised as a professional Yamaha Adventure rider and regular contributor to various motorcycle and adventure magazines.
Today, Steve is a documentary filmmaker, writer and keynote speaker. His current projects include a book deal with Pan MacMillan and presenting, producing and writing documentaries with Lonely Planet and Discovery Channel. In order to motivate others to live their dreams, Steve works as an ambassador for the Inspire Foundation – creating opportunities for young people to change their world.
Steve’s adventures thus far have taken him around the globe - starving and dehydrating in the Las Pampa Desert; waking up behind the iron bars of Tierra Del Fuego; traversing the length of the Amazon with a 260kg motorcycle in tow; evading pumas in Guyana; skimming across the Caribbean on a yacht with wanted criminals; dodging bullets in Nicaragua and finally paddling a few laps in the Arctic Ocean.
After seven years chasing a dream it has now become a sustainable reality. Steve is one of few people in the world with "Adventurer" as his full time profession; it’s even on his business card. His new book with Pan MacMillan will be released late next year - titled ‘Chasing the Horizon’. Steve’s program Lonely Planet’s Natural Born Traveller on Discovery Channel was nominated earlier in the year for an Astra Award. And a few days ago he was nominated as Best Entertainment Presenter in the prestigious ASIAN TELEVISION AWARDS to be held in Singapore in early December. Steve is the only Australian in his category and will contest the award against presenters from China, Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong. Lonely Planet’s Natural Born Traveller has also received two technical nominations for Best Cinematography and Best Achievement in HD.
